Senior Night/Dig Pink

Tomorrow night, October 14, NPVB will honor 5 wonderful seniors- Stephanie Bova, Brittany Coyle, Ali Kiernan, Kelcey Noble, and Priska Wilson- at their final regular season home match at 7:00pm.  We will also be hosting a Dig Pink event, which is an event to raise awareness and money for Breast Cancer research.  Fans will be able to donate to this important cause during the match.  All donations will go directly to the Side-Out Foundation.

Bova, Britt, Ali, Kelcey, & Priska have had outstanding careers at New Paltz and are a big reason for the success of NPVB.  We appreciate all they do and all they bring to our team.  We hope to honor them with a win tomorrow, and more home matches to play in during the post-season!

    Congratulations to Coach Giufre and the Women’s Volleyball Team. I saw you during your first stages, when you were a dream. I knew that you had it in you. Many players came before you and paved the way for you. Their hard work and determination, and the desire to be the cornerstone for what was to become a force to reckon with lead them to the first victory over the Goliath of their time: Cortland. Your predecessors discovered their Achilles. There was no looking back. They fought hard and long, and after years of battle, won the war, at home. You have been found worthy of carrying the torch for future generations of women players who just like you did, will look at the New Paltz program and say I WANT TO BE A PART OF THAT TEAM. The legacy lives. CONGRATULATIONS!

    Thanks to all the NPVB players who made 2009 a GREAT season.
    But especially thanks to all of the seniors who brought my kid into the fold and made her feel part of a family.
    Thanks for 2 INCREDIBLE seasons of “we are never down” VB…
    I only hope that the girls who follow you carry forward your drive, perseverance, compassion, and team spirit..
    You are a class group…
    Good Luck in whatever path you choose to take…
